As a still photographer, I am very directive when I shoot. It is almost to a point of frustration because in my head the images are moving. The real life output is one single still image. So it was logical that I start directing moving films. I have slowly taken it on, doing my best to keep a consistency between my film and still work. I keep the same approach of connecting with the subject, creating a flow and a visual story. I would rather have the viewer walk away with an emotional connection than just documenting the moment. It is my goal to work with people who can carry both film and still, as they are very different beasts. In order to be a full content creator, I think it is very important that I have a stronghold on both mediums and that my style resonates throughout both mediums.
